The elements of the Administration of Customs and Excise (ADII) at the port of Tangier Med have foiled, during the current week, an attempt to illegal entry of several contraband goods valued at more than 1, 34 million dirhams, it was learned from customs source.
Customs seized 148 new-generation smartphones, 120 grams of gold jewelery and 153 connected watches with a communication and localization system, which a Moroccan national residing abroad was trying to bring into the country. the national territory without a prior declaration to the ADII, it was said from the same source.
These goods were hidden among the luggage and at the roof of a car registered abroad, it was pointed out, adding that the mis en cause was presented to the judicial police for further investigation.
