The Danish multinational Maersk has decided to divert definitively from the port of Algeciras to Tangier Med 150,000 annual movements, reason why the Spanish infrastructure will close the year with half a million movements less than anticipated, according to the Ministry of Public Works. Since the conflict broke out, Maersk has diverted 15 vessels destined for the port of Algeciras and so last week decided to reprogram the Madrid Maersk route, one of the largest container ships in the world, which instead of downloading In Algeciras it did in Tangier Med.
